From the Archive: Let's Talk About Agricultural Irrigation...

Let's Talk About Agricultural Irrigation... is an article series by K-State Associate Professor Emeritus Freddie Lamm, first published in Irrigation Business and Technology, the magazine of the Irrigation Association. They are meant to be thought-provoking essays and were part of a more extensive discussion on the overall importance of irrigation. While they are dated, they are still relevant in today's debate of irrigation on the High Plains and are archived here.

These essays are the author's opinion, Freddie Lamm, an Associate Professor Emeritus for Kansas State University who conducted agricultural irrigation engineering research at the KSU Northwest Research-Extension Center, Colby, Kansas. While at NWREC, Freddie was always at the cutting edge of irrigation research and contributed to internationally recognized technologies, such as sub-surface drip irrigation. His contributions were further identified by his Irrigation Association Man of the Year award and being named a Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
